Mumbai in cruise mode, Musheer double the happiness


<p>On Day 2 of their Ranji Trophy quarterfinal here, Mumbai led by 257 runs in the first innings after Musheer Khan hit an undefeated 203. Baroda reached 127/2 in reply before the end of the play.</p>

<p>While Bhargav Bhatt struggled to return with a seven-wicket haul, Musheer powered Mumbai to 383 in the first innings with his excellent undisturbed double hundred.</p>
<p>With the aid of 18 boundaries, Musheer achieved 203 not out from 357 balls. At one point during the first day, his contribution was crucial as it allowed the home side to narrow the gap on 400 runs, having started at 99/4.</p>
<p>MP retaliated against Andhra</p>
<p>Indore: On the second day of their quarterfinal matchup with Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh produced a fantastic comeback and increased their advantage to 83 runs at stumps thanks to a group effort from their bowlers.</p>
<p>After losing their last wicket without adding any more runs to their total, MP finished the day with 234/9. However, their bowlers came together to restrict Andhra to only 172 runs in their first innings, giving their team a 62-run advantage.</p>
<p>Tennessee leads by 117 runs.</p>
<p>Coimbatore: R Sai Kishore, the captain, set an exemplary example before Baba Indrajith and Boopathi Kumar scored crucial half-centuries to give Tamil Nadu the upper hand over Saurashtra in their quarterfinal match today.</p>
<p>With four first-inning wickets remaining and TN reaching 300/6 at stumps on the second day, they had a 117-run advantage. This was made possible by their hard work.</p>
<p>Post 460 in Vidarbha</p>
<p>Nagpur: In Vidarbha’s quarterfinal match against Karnataka today, they made 460 all out, with Karun Nair’s 90-run blow being the day’s high point.</p>
<p>Following Yash Rathod’s 93 and Atharva Taide’s century, Vidarbha resumed play on the second day on 261/3, riding Nair’s innings to a substantial first-innings total.
